The Academy of Counselors' Excellence - Training on Counseling and Internship (ACE-MFCC)

 
To provide a bridge course between theory and practise for beginners in the Counseling profession.
Minimum qualification will be full time/part time MA, MSc, in any behavioural sciences. Fresh graduates are also welcome
  • 60 hours of class room lecture, case discussions, mock sessions, quiz and presentations.
  • hours of supervised internship with a senior CCF supervisor - will be arranged by CCF
  • 20 hours of supervised internship in a school / NGO / hospital set up - to be arranged by the candidate.
10 weeks class room sessions with 6 hours each week. Classes will be conducted on Sundays. There will be home work, quiz or case study each week and the same should be presented during the following week contact class.

All trainees will be assessed based on a continuous and comprehensive evaluation system, under which they will be graded for their performance across various dimensions including group discussions, role-plays, activity-creation for group programs, etc.

Barefoot Counseling Training

Barefoot counseling is a 3 day workshop designed for with a view to impart basic skills in counseling.

The participants of the course would learn

  • To elicit information from others and to communicate in an effective manner
  • To improve interpersonal skills
  • To identify problems and solve them
  • To recognize common mental illnesses in people and direct them to the right source for help.

In short the participants would hone their skills to deal with relationships and life by the end of the course.

Academy of Counselors' Excellence - School Counselors' Program (ACE-SCP)

 
This program aims to provide schools with counselors trained to establish a comprehensive counseling department that handles the requirements of students in different school settings, in different work environments, being able to adapt to the boundaries of the school ethos, yet providing holistic and proactive services which contribute to each student's educational, vocational, social and personal development, based on developmental psychology, educational philosophy, and counseling methodology.
M.Sc. Counseling Psychology, M.Sc. Psychology (Degree-holders and 2nd year students), MSW, P.G. Dip in Counseling, Certified ACE candidates (only those who have completed internship).
  • 36 hours of class room lecture, case discussions, role-plays and presentationsuk
  • 20 hours of supervised internship in a school setting
4 days class room sessions with 7 hours each day (totally 28 hrs). Classroom training with mock sessions will be done for 4 days and 20 hours of internship should be completed within the 2 months following the completion of class room training.

All trainees will be assessed based on a continuous and comprehensive evaluation system, under which they will be graded for their performance across various dimensions including group discussions, role-plays, activity-creation for group programs, etc. Internship Reports will also be evaluated and must be approved by the committee of experts to receive the certificate of completion.

I started my career as a teacher and moved to a counselling forte. I'm a non-judgemental and empathetic counselling psychologist. I earned my Masters degree in Applied Psychology. At present, I’m associated with A. M Jain College, Chennai as a student counsellor and also associated with a Delhi-based PAN INDAI company as a psychologist. I provide a safe environment and comfortable space for my clients to express their thoughts and emotions freely. With my rich experience, I support, heal, and empower clients of all age groups. Gender and ethnicity in dealing with anxiety, anger, trauma, stress, and relationship issues through collaborative approaches and various therapeutic methods. My strength is listening, optimism, patience, adaptability, interpersonal skills, and inquisitiveness.

Ms.Anjana Pushparaj - Co-Coordinator

Ms Anjana Pushparaj is a Counselling Psychologist with Masters in Counselling Psychology and also a Post Graduate in Child Care & Education, currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology. She is a Motivational Speaker and a certified NLP Practitioner. She is trained in MCMF Career testing tools and a certified Life Skill trainer. She is a member of InSPA (Indian School Psychology Association). She has conducted various life skill workshops for Students and teachers.
