Dr. Saras Bhaskar, founder of Chennai Counselors' Foundation is a Counseling Psychologist & Coach, skilled in identifying psychopathology, and offers necessary therapeutic guidance. She has started Professional Counseling Services in the year 2002 with an objective to enable positive changes in the lives of people. As a private practitioner, she offers counseling services to variety of issues related to the individual, pre-marriage, marriage, family, children, and adults. She is well-recognized for her professional services at the personal and corporate level. Dr. Saras Bhaskar periodically facilitates need-based workshops and training programs for MNCs, private companies, NGOs, and Academic institutions.
Mrs. Arundhati Swamy
Arundhati Swamy is Head of Parent Engagement Programmes at Parent Circle. A post-graduate in MA Social Work, specializing in Family and Child Welfare from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences - Mumbai (TISS), Arundhati comes with 36 years of extensive work with parents, young children, adolescents, couples, families, adult well-being, guidance, therapy and psycho- education. A pioneer of school counseling in Chennai ,she has worked with leading schools in the city. She has designed a unique career profiling module for students and adults.
Aundhati was the first President of Chennai Counselors’ Foundation.
Dr. S. DivyaPrabha
Dr. DivyaPrabha is a Counselling Psychologist, ACA Certified Professional Supervisor, and Founder of Steps Foundations, a psychological support service committed to providing accessible, affordable mental health care, pro bono counselling, and skill-based internship training for psychology students. With over 16 years of experience in counselling and 13 years as a school psychologist, she currently consults for Presentation Convent Schools and serves as the Chief Psychological Officer at Dhruti Trust, where she leads mental health programs.
Her expertise spans child and adolescent counselling, marital and relationship counselling, emotional regulation, self-awareness, parenting, trauma care, sleep-related issues, and professional supervision. She has delivered workshops and training programs on POCSO awareness, resilience building, suicide prevention, and ethical counselling practices across educational, institutional, and community settings.
She is a strong advocate of ethics and self-care in mental health professions and actively mentors trainees and early-career professionals to ensure quality service delivery to clients and communities. Her doctoral research focused on preventing Internet addiction among adolescents.
Dr. Divya served as President of the Chennai Counsellors Foundation (CCF) for four consecutive years and now continues as an Advisory Committee Member. She has also served as an Executive Committee Member of IAPS and is a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC) affiliated with several national and international associations, including APA, IAAP, and InSPA.
In 2024, she was honoured with the “Great Indian Counselling Psychologist of the Year” award by Wings of Fire for her exceptional service.
Her guiding philosophy is: “Small steps every day.”
She believes that sustainable mental health care begins with ethical practice, teamwork, and compassionate presence.
Ms. Brinda Jayaraman
Brinda Jayaraman is a master degree holder in Psychology with post graduate diploma in Guidance & counseling and has also gained knowledge through numerous short term counseling courses on Addiction, AIDS, Marital Problems and on Childhood/ Adolescent Behavior Disorders in University of Washington, USA in 1997.
She has also excelled by doing her M.Phil at Mother Teresa University in 2006. Her work experience constitutes of being teacher for five years from 1964 to 1969, and in to counseling from 1993.
She runs her own Psychological consultancy from the year 93 to till now, Anchor self help Access (ASHA) which offers individual & group counseling on parenting, dealing with emotional disturbances, marital conflicts, addiction, depression, and anxiety.
Mr. B. Prabhudoss
Has 27 years of experience in – Emergency Management, Disaster Management, Operations, Health care, Process and Compliance, Banking, FMCG, Sales. Consulting Recipient of Meritorious Award in 2014 from the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Ms. J. Jayalalithaa for Rescue and Relief Operations during a Structural Collapse in Chennai.
